These cities, experiencing high rates of economic, demographic, and urban growth, are now facing the challenges posed by climate change-induced increases in temperature. The occurrence of extreme weather events, such as strong rainfall leading to flooding, has become a recurrent problem in many cities across the country. According to research conducted by Christenson et al., Douala is both the most industrialized city in central Africa and the city most affected by climate change in Cameroon (Nematchoua, K, M. et al., 2015) .
