Dubai's minimum top-up for Nol cards is AED20, and it begins on January 15, 2024

A crucial update has been released by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for those who use the Nol card, which is a popular way to pay for public transportation in the city.

A report in the Khaleej Times states that as of January 15, Dh20 will be the minimum amount needed to top up a Nol card. Comparing this modification to the existing minimum top-up amount of Dh5, there is a noticeable increase.

An essential part of Dubai's public transportation network, the Nol card provides travelers with an easy way to pay for a range of services. These consist of parking fees, taxi charges, waterbuses, buses, trams, and the Dubai Metro. The card can also be used to access the Etihad Museum, public parks in Dubai, and more than 2,000 eateries, shops, and retail establishments across the city.

The RTA has made a number of channels accessible to make top-ups simple, including ticket vending machines, solar-powered top-up machines, and the Nol Pay app, which is built especially for virtual cards.

RTA is still promoting its Nol Plus campaign in addition to this modification. The goal of this loyalty and rewards program is to assist frequent Nol card users. Every time they use their card for any of the program's many services, including the Dubai Metro, taxis, public buses, and parking, members earn points and get access to exclusive benefits. The points that have been accrued can be exchanged for discounts at specific shops and restaurants or redeemed for top-ups.
